Jack Harahan lived in Birmingham, married Sally Capewell and they had a daughter Rose. His wife died and with his younger brother Hugh, who had divorced his wife Linda Lindhop, went to America to try to find work. They returned and moved to Sheffield. They met and married two sisters Sarah (Sally) Anne and Ethel from the Walker family.

He lived on Queens Rd Heeley in Sheffield near Havelock Bridge and worked at Drake and Son on Bramhall Lane with his wife Sally. He is buried at the Crematorium on City Road.
